Become a zingmagazine intern!
zingmagazine is always on the lookout for student interns who are organized, dependable, hard-working, and self-sufficient. No experience necessary, but Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Quark skills a plus. Knowledge about or enthusiasm for art and design required.
You will learn all aspects of magazine production: research, editing, advertising, promotions, design, party-planning, mass-mailing, database upkeep, proper phone etiquette, archiving, art-handling, and more. You will be exposed to the contemporary art scene and expected to see current gallery and museum exhibits and give us feedback. zing is a very hands-on office and we encourage interns to exercise their creativity by pitching ideas, writing, and designing.
Additionally, zingmagazine is affiliated with the Dikeou Collection in Denver and, as a result, our interns also learn what it takes to run a private art collection.
Be prepared to work 2 days per week for at least 3 months. Check out zingmagazine's anonymous intern blog for a first-hand account of what it's like to work here.
To apply, please send a statement of interest and a resume to info (at ) zingmagazine (dot) com. Also, let us know how you heard about zing. Applications are accepted anytime.
