house for two golfers set on a golf course.
The Golf House is a house for complete immersion in the game
and landscape of golf. The house is situated directly on axis
with the seventh hole to the south, and a large pond to the
north. All the spaces are organized to be continuous with the
surrounding landscape: the golf landscape undulates from the
course through the house and out to the garden once more, making
landscape and building continuous. Spaces are wrapped around
voids that direct views outward: the entry platform and terrace
bracket a courtyard void that directs views to the rolling golf
hills in one direction, the pond in the other, and the sky in
the upwards direction. Similar views to the course and pond
are framed by the void formed by the main living space.
