A system for low-cost, customized housing.
What if we lived in a house which asked us how we want to live?
The Variable House is not just a house, but a method of configuring
a variety of houses for individual needs. Because each person
and family is unique, so should the space they live in be unique.
A house should accommodate its inhabitants, instead of the inhabitants
conforming to the structure of the house. Each component, dimension,
and module of the Variable House is standardized for economy,
construction efficiency, and design flexibility. With the ability
to combine modules in different spatial variations, the house
becomes as unique as its owners, accommodating to family size,
desires for privacy or openness, the necessity to work at home,
or any other activity.
