film theory: the strange love of martha ivers

We repeat and rewrite this/these scene(s) here. We propose a refilming of this film - this film which may come under the heading of "FILM NOIR" (perhaps in a book which may itself have that title). One proposal could be that of a re-filming of "Martha Ivers" as a pastiche of such a genre - what would we add in such a pastiche?

What point would be reached on the stairs, at the top of the stairs which would, by necessity, be one of the scenes which we would refilm?

What wold take place at the bottom of the stairs - we add here the announcement that we are gliding down to our second example - a seamless scene is constructed which may or may not be that of exemplarity. (A seamless scene which could also be that of seminar and context - wholly a seminar... the notion of such wholeness as fictional would then come to be suggested - perhaps wrongly).
